Our team is made up of bright, passionate people, working together to pioneer game-changing technology. We are currently seeking a Communications Coordinator. The Communications Coordinator will work collaboratively with the VP Sales and Marketing, and other members of the team to help develop and implement the overall communications strategy across a variety of external channels and audiences (e.g., Digital, Print, Consumers, Physicians, and Health Care Providers), as well as internally (e.g., business plan, slide decks, memos and investor summaries). The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for upholding brand consistency, coordination of key messages, and the highest standard for external communications. The Coordinator will be instrumental in helping us reach a larger audience and deepen our relationships with end users and those who prescribe and/or promote our leading technology. This job is best suited for a “doer” – someone that can work at both the strategic and execution levels.


  • Recommend and create new content (including written, video, and social) that is highly relevant and interesting for our targeted customer segments.
  • Ensure the efficient distribution and coordination of all content (both internal and external)
  • Manage the creation, production, and dissemination of printed publications for education, training, sales team support, and administration purposes (such as internal bi-weekly newsletter, brochures, and trade show materials, PPT and internal presentations)
  • Development of and the ongoing management of Spring Loaded’s communications calendar
  • Coordinate the creation and selection of photography for print and electronic communications
  • Regularly update website content and edit existing content to help execute ongoing SEO initiatives
  • Develop and ensure adherence to content-related protocols (e.g., our communications style guide)
  • Conduct quality assurance checks of the website to remove or update broken links, calls to action, and navigation
  • Draft various internal communications including memos, plans, and slide-decks
  • Implement e-communications campaigns
  • Ongoing management of Spring Loaded’s social media strategy
  • Actively manage Spring Loaded’s online reputation, and engage in conversations with consumers and customers
  • Manage external partnerships where applicable, for example, with contractors
  • Develop relationships with local, regional, national media. Proactively seek media coverage for newsworthy initiatives. Draft press releases. Help plan media launches and coordinate interviews.
  • Quality control of external facings documents and content publications


  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Public Relations, English/Journalism, Marketing or another discipline relevant to communications, journalism, or public relations.
  • 2 – 6 years of Marketing, Communications, media or Public Relations experience
  • Excellent written and verbal skills – preferably in both English and French
  • Experience filming and editing short videos while using appropriate lighting, sound, and digital editing techniques
  • Ability to communicate messages in a professional and engaging manner
  • Exceptional organizational abilities and time management skills, ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience in developing, implementing, and evaluating communication plans and materials
  • Creative thinking and problem solving skills
  • Experience using Windows and Mac operating systems, HTML, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Powerpoint, and Adobe Photoshop.
  • Experience in graphic design an asset
  • Experience managing websites preferred
  • Ability to work effectively with multiple individuals and manage several projects at once
  • Working knowledge of human anatomy, kinetics an asset
  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
