Organizations sign Memorandum of Understanding to increase opportunities for medical technology companies and foster the growth of the industry
Toronto and Halifax (June 25, 2015) – MEDEC, the national association representing Canada’s Medical Technology companies and BioNova, the Nova Scotia Biotechnology and Life Sciences Industry Association, are pleased to announce the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding that will leverage the regional strengths of each association for the benefit of patients, and the medical technology industry.
This agreement will enable member companies of each organization to have access to programs, advocacy efforts and industry knowledge offered by each association. Members of each organization will benefit from:
- Greater opportunities to participate in advocacy initiatives at the national and provincial level
- Access to respective member training and educational programs
- Reciprocal distribution of each association’s relevant member communications
This collaboration will advance health outcomes for patients and grow the medical technology industry by enhancing each association’s work with governments and health system partners to increase patient access to innovative medical technologies and improve commercialization opportunities.
