Your role:

The Business Development Manager, Brazil will develop, communicate & implement strategic plans to all stakeholders that contain clear and measurable objectives. He/She will focus on specific sales efforts aimed at expanding the presence of Acadian branded products. This is accomplished by leveraging agricultural industry experience and working collaboratively with team members and customers.

  • Help build, develop and manage the independent distribution channel in Brazil with a focus on best fit partners who can deliver long term value.
  • Lead and develop a team of Techno-Commercial Specialists in the creation and execution of a strategic business plan throughout the territory.
  • Initiate, develop, and maintain value-based relationships with all strategic in-market partners and customers.
  • Prepare and present quarterly and annual plans that will ensure sustainable growth objectives are met.
  • Have the ability to forecast sales based on insight gathered as a result of hands-on engagement with the Techno-Commercial Specialist team, distribution partners, and targeted end users
  • Develop, implement, and measure strategic and tactical sales plans, KPI’s, and field performance by leveraging the functionality of
  • Interact with the President, APH, sales leaders, Marketing, and VP, Global Sales as directed in order to efficiently and effectively execute the overall strategy for the company and the region.
  • Support the company’s vision and policies regarding health & safety, corporate culture, and environmental management by displaying the appropriate behaviors and leadership towards meeting the company’s objectives in these areas.


  • A sales professional with a minimum of 10 to 12 years’ experience working with distribution partners and end users within the agricultural market in Brazil.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Ag. Economics, Agronomy, Business or other education with related agricultural industry experience.
  • 5 years’ sales leader experience within a progressive science-based organization where the culture was built on high performance and aggressive growth expectations.
  • Heightened sense of urgency when implementing strategic growth initiatives while paying attention to the details and mitigating risk.
  • Must demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of how to analyze complex market issues and making viable recommendations for resolution.
  • Excellent presentation, writing and communication skills; thinks strategically and openly communicates within all appropriate levels of the organization.
  • Must have the ability to travel and possess a valid driver’s license

With this broad range of responsibilities, the Business Development Manager, Brazil must have the ability to manage these processes over a wide geographic territory.
